Opposes medical facility

In regards to the June 27 article concerning a 1,500-bed inmate hospital, this has to be the pork that ends all pork.

I haven't added up the public beds available in the county, but it seems to me that this would eclipse the total. It would take a national calamity to require a facility that large, and every inmate would have to be hospitalized at the same time.

Please tell me "it ain't so." And for "only" $1 billion each we can have seven of them.

Me thinks this "federally mandated" program should be forwarded to the very popular Arizona Sheriff of Maricopa County for approval.
