Sheriff's Blotter Less than $400 in personal property was stolen from a car parked in the 600 block of Lantana Street sometime between June 1 and 2. A cellphone was stolen from a man in the 1500 block of Flynn Road on June 2. A 19-year-old man was arrested June 2 in the 5600 block of Camino Deville Court on charges of harboring a fugitive. In addition, a 37-year-old man was also arrested on two counts of parole violation. A car parked in the 5600 block of Calle Sencillo Street was burglarized sometime between June 1 and 2. The thieves used the victim's debit and credit cards to make an undisclosed number of illegal purchases. Three men, two ages 19 and one age 18, and two women, ages 19 and 38, were arrested June 2 in the 200 block of Old Dairy Road on misdemeanor vandalism charges. Someone used a stolen legal prescription from a woman in the 300 block of Carmen Drive and the 2100 block of Pickwick Drive to obtain pharmaceutical drugs on June 2. Someone used a forged prescription from a stolen prescription tablet to obtain pharmaceutical drugs from Longs Drug Store, 760 Arneill Road, on June 2. A car parked in the 300 block of Westpark Court was burglarized sometime between June 2 and 3. An undisclosed amount of property was stolen. It was reported June 3 that someone used the Valero Gas card of a resident in the 4600 block of Adolfo Road to purchase more than $155 in gas between May 14 and 18. A wallet was stolen from a woman in the 4900 block of Verdugo Way on June 3. A 19-year-old man was arrested June 3 in the 1400 block of Pancho Road on charges of domestic battery. The man allegedly bit his girlfriend and pulled her hair. A student at 200 Horizon Circle was arrested June 4 for allegedly battering a teacher. More than $400 in property was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 80 block of Estaban Way sometime between June 4 and 5. A car parked in the 500 block of Lantana Street was burglarized sometime between June 4 and 5. The vehicle's registration and the owner's proof of insurance were stolen from the glove compartment. Vandals used a rock to cause $1,200 in damages to two vehicles parked in the 900 block of Comanche Court sometime between June 4 and 5. A generator and gasoline containers were stolen from a truck parked in the 3600 block of E. Castano Drive sometime between June 4 and 6. The victim reported $260 in lost property. A catalytic converter was stolen off a truck parked in the 3700 block of Calle Tecate on June 5 sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. A catalytic converter was stolen off a truck parked in the 3400 block of Calle Tecate on June 5 sometime between 11:32 a.m. and 11:38 a.m. A 26-year-old man was arrested June 5 for allegedly brandishing a pipe in a threatening manner at a 23yearold man and threatening him in the 300 block of E. Daily Drive. A 19-year-old man was arrested June 5 in the 200 block of S. Glenn Drive on charges of a minor in possession of alcohol. Vandals splattered oil-based paint over a tennis court in the 1000 block of Temple Avenue sometime between June 5 and 6, causing $1,500 in damages. An 18-year-old male was arrested June 6 in the 1500 block of Temple Avenue on charges of a minor in possession of alcohol. Someone stole more than $130 in property from Christian Family Supplies, 1770 E. Ventura Blvd., sometime between June 6 and 7. A 21-year-old man was cited and released June 7 on charges of animal cruelty for allegedly locking his dog inside of a car without proper ventilation in the 700 block of Paseo Camarillo. A 53-year-old man was arrested June 7 for allegedly stealing more than $400 in groceries from the Vons supermarket, 5275 Mission Oaks Blvd. Police reported the man had prior convictions. A pair of shoplifters stole two 18packs of beer from CVS Pharmacy, 351 N. Carmen Drive, on June 8. Between June 2 and June 8, police reported arresting 14 people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that same time period, 11 people were arrested and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, six people were arrested on various drug charges and one person was arrested for allegedly being drunk in public. |
