College World Series only two wins away for area talent
Super Regionals taking place this weekend across the country
      The dream of making the College World Series lives on for a handful of former area baseball standouts. Before they can make plans to be in Omaha, Neb., on June 14 for the start of the CWS, however, there's still some work to be done in the NCAA Super Regionals this weekend.

Freshman basketball tryouts at ACHS
      Basketball tryouts for all incoming freshmen at Camarillo High will be held on Sat., June 14. The boys' tryouts will begin at 9 a.m. in the ACHS gym, while the girls' tryouts will start at 10:30 a.m. in the same venue.

Spring's best honored by PVL
      Camarillo High's Mark Seal has been recognized as the Pacific View League's Player of the Year in boys' volleyball. Jacob Mahan of Camarillo is the league's MVP in baseball, while Scorpion softball manager Jack Willard is Coach of the Year.
