Parents may face large fines if caught serving alcohol to minors

To curtail underage drinking, the Social Host Responsibility and Liability Ordinance was passed by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors in April 2006. Camarillo began enforcing the ordinance in July 2006. Since August of last year, every city in the county has utilized the ordinance to discourage parties that may involve teenagers and alcohol.
