When Cornerstone Christian's baseball program began in 2005, the team was so bad that the opposition would sometimes turn off the scoreboard in the middle of games to avoid rubbing it in. ON FIRE- The Camarillo Blaze boys' U-12 AYSO soccer team finished in first place at the Oxnard Sports Festival Tournament. Camarillo Blaze beat Carpinteria 2-0, Pacific Palisades 11-0 and Valencia 4-0 to advance to the championship game. The Blaze then beat Santa Barbara 2-1 for the title. More ... Several of the area's finest athletes will be competing at the CIFSouthern Section Track and Field Finals Saturday at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut.
