Calling all cars

Automobiles are needed for an education project at the Murphy Auto Museum, 2230 Statham Blvd., Oxnard.

The cars will be taken apart and then reassembled in order to teach Seabees about how an automobile is made and repaired. The museum would prefer American-made vehicles in working or nonworking condition. Pickup may be available from Santa Barbara, Ventura or Oxnard.

The Murphy Auto Museum is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to providing an educational venue for the display of vintage automobiles, telling the story of the country's automotive heritage and its impact on American society.
