Lutheran golf tournament coming in June
      St. Paul Lutheran Church in Agoura Hills will host its second annual golf classic at 1:30 p.m. Sun., June 8 at Lost Canyons Golf Club, 3301 Lost Canyon Drive, Simi Valley. Tournament entry includes golf, cart fees, lunch, goodie bag, contest holes, a hole-in-one contest for a new car and more. After golf there will be a dinner and awards raffle.

Spiritual center hosts workshop
      A one-day workshop about five gifts for an abundant life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Fri., May 30 at the Camarillo Center for Spiritual Living, 340 Mobil Ave., Camarillo. Participants will learn to create a consciousness of wealth through gratitude, intentions, forgiveness, tithing and surrender.

Church project to begin
      Volunteers from Calvary Chapel Camarillo invite residents to join them in a community beautification project tomorrow, Sat., May 17. Participants will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the church, 380 Mobil Ave., Camarillo, and travel by bus and car to Camarillo Community Center and Charter Oak Park to rake, clean, paint and plant.

Applicants needed for youth conference
      Organizers of the 2009 Youth Gathering of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America are enlisting the help of 800 young adults to be "servant companions" from July 20 to 26. The gathering will attract 36,000 high school youth and adult leaders to New Orleans around the theme "Jesus Justice Jazz.
