Scandinavian fest to open at CLU
      The Scandinavian Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., April 19 and Sun., April 20 at California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. The event will feature food, entertainment and demonstrations highlighting the Nordic cultures of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

      BRAVO, VOLUNTEERS- Ventura County Superior Court Judge Tari Cody, center, swears in 19 Court Appointed Special Advocates on Wed., April 9 at the Juvenile Courthouse in Oxnard. The volunteers have completed 40 hours of training and will be assigned one child who has been abused or neglected.
