Win or lose, Rio Mesa boys' volleyball team remains positive
Spartans continue to improve
      Last weekend at home, the Rio Mesa High boys' volleyball team was blown out by Ventura three games to none. If it wasn't for the scoreboard, however, fans may have had a tough time telling which team was winning and which one was losing.

Local soccer squad scores tournament win
     NO LUCK INVOLVED- The Camarillo U-12 AYSO girls' team won its division at the Pot O' Gold Tournament. Led by coaches Frank DellaLibera, Tim Redondo, Ken Carter and Noel Thompson, the team was victorious in all four of its games without allowing a goal. Team members include Alexis Bramwell, Kelsey Carter, Francesca DellaLibera, Jocelynn Liporada, Jordan Marucut, Mia Perez, Renee Redondo, Claudia Romero, Janelle Spira, Nicole Thompson, Angela Turner-Harvey and Jazmyn Valadez. The Crab House in Camarillo treated the team to a celebratory dinner.
