Valenzano to head board
New president is youngest in history of Ventura County Board of Education

Chris Valenzano, 28, has been selected to serve as president of the Ventura County Board of Education. He is the youngest president in the history of the board.

Valenzano graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in 1997 and from California State University Channel Islands with a bachelor's degree in business in 2004.

He serves as an emergency manager and reservist with the U.S. Air Force and the California Air National Guard and as an emergency medical technician. He and his wife, Deyla, have two children.
