Fire stations collecting toys

All Ventura County Fire Stations are drop-off points for new, unwrapped toys, sporting goods or educational supplies for the 15th annual ABC 7 Firefighters' "Spark of Love" Toy Drive. The program will run through Dec. 24.

Gifts will be distributed to those in need within Ventura County by the Ventura County Children's Services Auxiliary. To donate money, make checks payable to Children's Services Auxiliary, tax-exempt No. 77-0054936.

Those in need can contact Pam Waldron for gift vouchers at (805) 654-3447.

Ventura County fire stations will also collect food for the Salvation Army's food drive.

Nonperishable foodstuffs can be dropped off at any fire station.

Fire Station 50, 189 Las Posas Road in Camarillo, is collecting clothing donations for the RAIN Project homeless shelter in Camarillo.
