Jersey Mike's serves up donation
Money to be used for neonatal ICU

A SUBSTANTIAL DONATION- Dan Burrell, Jersey Mike's California area director, left, and Peter Cancro, CEO of Jersey Mike's Franchise Systems, second from the left, present a check for $15,013 to St John's Healthcare Foundation benefiting the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit. Accepting for the hospital is Jan Ayala, director of nursing, maternal child health and David Press, foundation board member. The donation, which will purchase a new incubator for the unit, was the result of a month long campaign which raised $1 for every Jersey Mike's #13 Sub Sandwich sold.
During October, the Jersey Mike's stores in Ventura raised $15,013 that was donated to St. John's Healthcare Foundation to benefit St. John's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The funds will pay for another incubator for the neonatal intensive care unit.

Purchase of a particular item on the sandwich menu resulted in a $1 per sale donation at each of the 10 area stores.

"Both the hospital and all of our stores are really excited about donating to this great cause," said Dan Burrell, Jersey Mike's area director. "A big part of the Jersey Mike's mission is to give back to the communities we serve. We have participated in similar fundraising programs throughout the country, helping many important causes. "

St. John's neonatal intensive care unit at its hospital in Oxnard offers a variety of services to high-risk deliveries and babies born via cesarean section.
