Soroptimist charity art event has heart

The second annual Art 4 Heart event sponsored by the Soroptimist International clubs of Camarillo and Oxnard will be presented on Sun., Feb. 10 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Oxnard.

The event will again focus on women's heart health awareness, with proceeds going to two local facilities: St. John's Regional Medical Center and St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital Healthcare Foundation.

Funds raised at the event are earmarked for education, diagnosis and treatment of women's heart disease.

Last year's inaugural Art 4 Heart event raised more than $25,000.
