Make classroom parties healthy

The U.C. Hansen Trust will present a hands-on workshop that will demonstrate how to bring a healthful balance to classroom party planning from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wed., Nov. 28 at the University of California Hansen Agricultural Center at Telegraph and Briggs roads in Santa Paula.

Featured speakers Marilyn Godfrey and Susan Gloeckler will concentrate on party themes, recipe centers and Junior Master Gardener activities. Godfrey is a nutrition educator for the Ventura Unified School District's Healthy Foods Project, and Gloeckler is the Junior Master Gardener statewide coordinator for UC Cooperative Extension.
