Community Briefs Studio debuts The grand opening of Old Town Studio Gallery will include an artist reception from 7 to 10 p.m. tomorrow, Sat., Nov. 17, at 2165 Ventura Blvd., Camarillo. Ten percent of the sales made during the reception will be donated to the Nature of Wildworks, a nonprofit wildlife care and education center in Topanga. The gallery show will run through Fri., Dec. 28. The gallery is open weekends but will expand its hours to accommodate appointments. The work of local artists will be considered for upcoming shows. Art mart Studio Channel Islands Art Center will host a holiday market from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat., Dec. 1 at the studio on the campus of California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo. Artists will sell handcrafted gifts, jewelry and art. Local high school groups will perform music and drama. A silent auction will also be featured.
