Medicare seminar offered at AlmaVia
Plan changes, different options are often confusing

Changes in Medicare for 2008 will be presented at a free seminar from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sat., Dec. 1 at AlmaVia of Camarillo, 2500 Ponderosa Drive North.

Dennis Jurcak, state certified community educator, will lead the program. Jurcak is a volunteer health insurance counselor for the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program.

Topics will include an overview of the original Medicare, parts A and B; prescription drug benefits; Medicare supplement plans (Medigap); Medicare advantage plans; and new additions and deletions.

Open enrollment for 2008 will continue through Dec. 31, and plan changes can be made during this period, according to Jurcak.
