The award for top selling agent from Prudential California Realty's Camarillo office for June 2007 was won by Julia Otero. In August, she was the top listing agent for the Camarillo office.

"Even as a little girl, I was infatuated by houses," Otero said. "I always wanted to explore, to see how homes were decorated and to learn about who lived in them. Before I was aware of it, I was looking at homes as more than just structures; they represented the people who made their lives there. Today I still feel that way."

Her husband, Paul Otero, left the corporate world in 2005 to join his wife in real estate. "We really enjoy each other's company, and we complement each other," Otero said. With her parents preceding her in the industry and the Oteros' daughter Domonique successfully entering the business as well, theirs is a family tradition of real estate.
