Meathead Movers delivered for fire victims

Meathead Movers, a Camarillo-based moving company, collected more than 100,000 pounds of emergency supplies to help the evacuees of the recent fires.

On Oct. 25, the company filled six moving trucks with supplies, including water, pet care, personal hygiene, medical, bedding and baby care items.

Another four trucks were being prepared to deliver more goods a few days later.

"We know so many people in the community were longing to help the fire evacuees in any way they could. We decided to provide the bulk transport using Meathead Mover's fleet of moving trucks as a way to ease the burden on those facilitating the emergency care facilities," said Aaron Steed, Meathead Movers president/CEO.

The company is working with Athletes for Education Foundation, an organization that is working with the San Diego Chargers to provide supplies to those who need them.

Donations were accepted at both Meathead Movers locations in Camarillo and San Luis Obispo.
