Flu shots available at hospital, local YMCA

Community Memorial Health System's Centers for Family Health, in conjunction with Ventura County Public Health, will offer free flu shots for people meeting certain criteria from 9 a.m. to noon at the following locations:

•Sat., Nov. 10 at 422 Arneill Road, Camarillo

•Sat., Nov. 17 at 852 Ventura St., Fillmore

•Sat., Dec. 1 at 3641 W. Fifth St., Oxnard

•Sat., Jan. 12, 2008, at 250 Citrus Grove Lane, Oxnard

The flu shots are for men and women over 60, people with chronic medical conditions, pregnant women, healthcare personnel who provide direct patient care, children age 6 months to 5 years and caregivers of children less than 6 months old.

Vaccines will be available while supplies last. Walk-ins are encouraged. For more information, call (805) 585-3090.

Flu shots are also being given from 3 to 5 p.m. Tues., Nov. 13 at the Camarillo Family YMCA, 3111 Village at the Park Drive in Camarillo.

The cost is $29 per shot, and anyone 15 years of age or older are eligible to receive it. Cash, check or credit cards will be accepted for payment.

Bring a photo ID, copy of a Medicare card or copy of primary insurance Medicare card. Insurance will not be accepted, except for Medicare.
