Display your talents for art contest

The Buenaventura Art Association is accepting submissions for its "Parade of Lights" poster contest.

Artwork must depict the Ventura Harbor with fireworks and have a winter holiday theme. Image size is 11½ by 12½ inches. Image should be in color and may be rendered in oil, acrylic, watercolor or computer graphics. Entry materials will not be returned. Only two-dimensional artwork will be accepted. There is no charge to enter.

Artists should deliver a highresolution image on a CD or a 5by-7-inch photo of the artwork to the Buenaventura Gallery at 700 E. Santa Clara St., Ventura, by Tues., Nov. 6.

The artist of the winning design will receive $200 and two tickets for Island Packers boat ride for either Friday or Saturday during the parade. The winning art will appear on the parade poster and will be displayed at the Harbor Village Gallery.
