The Ventura County Board of Supervisors will declare November "Read Early, Read Aloud" month at 9:30 a.m. Tues., Nov. 6 at the Ventura County Hall of Administration, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura.

A kickoff event will take place at 10 a.m. Thurs., Nov. 8 at the Camarillo Library, 4101 Las Posas Road, Camarillo.

First 5 Ventura County will partner with the Ventura County public library systems to encourage reading aloud time. Book bins will be located throughout the county for book exchanges. Barnes and Noble will sponsor a book fair.
