A 20yearold woman and 21year-old man were arrested Oct. 20 in the 2100 block of Lyndhurst Avenue on spousal battery charges. More than $1,200 in personal property was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 300 block of Avenida Valencia between Oct. 21 and 22. Shoplifters stole two LCD televisions worth $600 from the Target store, 209 W. Ventura Blvd., on Oct. 22. A 19-year-old man was arrested Oct. 22 for allegedly trying to break into a home in the 1700 block of Ventura Boulevard just before midnight. A 19-year-old man was arrested Oct. 22 for allegedly attempting to burglarize a car parked in the 1500 block of Sequan Court. A thief stole an undisclosed amount of items from an unlocked car parked in the 1200 block of N. Agusta Avenue on Oct. 22 or 23. A car parked in the 1100 block of Corte Riviera was burglarized sometime between Oct. 22 and 23. A wallet was taken from the car. A van parked in the 1100 block of Corte Riviera was burglarized between Oct. 22 and 23. The thief made off with $230 in property and caused $300 in damages. A 38-year-old man was arrested Oct. 23 for allegedly trying to pass a fraudulent cashier's check at a motel in the 100 block of E. Daily Drive. It was reported on Oct. 23 that an employee at Baja Fresh restaurant, 1855 E. Daily Drive, allegedly stole more than $1,400 from the eatery. A thief stole an iPod from an unlocked car parked in an open garage at a home in the 3300 block of Shadetree Way on Oct. 23 or 24. The thief also stole a bicycle from the garage. A locker at a men's health club in the 400 block of Carmen Drive was burglarized Oct. 23. The thief took off with $260 in personal property. Vandals caused $1,500 in damage to a car parked in the 1000 block of La Loma Avenue on Oct. 23. Two shoplifters were arrested Oct. 24 for allegedly trying to steal two car stereos from the Target store, 209 W. Ventura Blvd. Vandals slashed the tires of a car parked in the 2100 block of Farnworth Street on Oct. 24. The victim reported $200 in damages. Vandals caused about $300 in damages to a home in the 200 block of Horizon Circle on Oct. 25. Two men, ages 23 and 22, were arrested Oct. 25 near the intersection of Las Posas Road and Cerro Vista on multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit a crime and driving under the influence of alcohol. According to police, the two men used their car to chase another car being driven by a 22-year-old man. The suspects reportedly rammed the victim's car and left multiple threatening messages on the victim's cellular phone. Vandals broke into a business in the 1900 block of S. Lewis Road sometime between Oct. 25 and 26 and caused an unreported amount of damage to the office. An undisclosed amount of property was also stolen. A 22-year-old man was arrested Oct. 26 for allegedly trying to steal less than $400 in merchandise from the Kmart store, 940 Arneill Road. A 40-year-old man was arrested Oct. 26 in the 2000 block of E. Ventura Boulevard on a charge of spousal battery. Vandals smashed the windows of a van parked in the 4700 block of Los Angeles Avenue in Somis on Oct. 26. Burglars broke into the storage facility of a construction company in the 5800 block of Santa Clara Avenue between Oct. 26 and 28. The burglars stole tools and a construction vehicle. A catalytic converter was stolen from a truck parked in the 700 block of Mardigras Court on Oct. 27. A 25yearold man and 22yearold woman were both arrested Oct. 28 in the 1100 block of Durkin Street on charges of spousal battery. A 43-year-old man was arrested Oct. 28 at the Motel 6, 1641 E. Daily Drive, on multiple charges, including allegedly being under the influence and for warrants stemming from earlier charges of alleged spousal battery and false imprisonment by violence. An 18-year-old male was arrested Oct. 29 in the 6100 block of Paseo Encantada for allegedly offering marijuana to a minor and for reportedly having sexual contact with the victim. Burglars smashed the glass to the front door of the Puma shoe store, 690 E. Ventura Blvd., on Oct. 30 and stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise.
Between Oct. 22 and 29, police reported arresting 20 people on charges of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that time, four people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance; three were arrested on various drug charges; and one person was arrested and charged with being drunk in public. |
