Make-A-Wish grants child's dream with trip to Disney World

Five-year-old Madison Boles of Camarillo and her family will fly to Orlando, Fla. today, Oct. 19, to visit Walt Disney World Resort along with 26 other children and Make-A-Wish staff as part of American Airlines' 12th annual WishFlight.

The children and their families will participate in several events, including a bon voyage party at LAX, a welcome party in Orlando and a special celebration on Oct. 20 at Give Kids The World Village in Kissimmee, Fla., where the children will spend the week.

Madison Boles has Rett Syndrome and his wish was adopted by Meadowlark Service League.

Businesses, organizations, and individuals making a cash donation of $5,000 to MakeA-Wish may publicly adopt a wish.

The Meadowlark Service League is comprised of women dedicated to raising funds for a variety of local charitable organizations.

They host a home tour, a tennis tournament and the Taste of Camarillo to generate funds.

The MakeAWish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience. For more information, visit www.tri-counties.wish.org.
