Kiwanis Club goes nuts for library fundraiser

The Kiwanis Club of Camarillo is conducting its annual "Peanut Day" fundraising event culminating Sat., Oct. 27.

Members and sponsored youth groups will pass out peanuts at local shopping centers. Funds raised will be used to purchase books, carpeting and equipment for the Children's Reading Center at the Camarillo Library.

Donations can be made through the Kiwanis Club of Camarillo, P.O. Box 533, Camarillo, CA 93011. For a $35 donation, the club will deliver a box of either 100 ¾-ounce bags of salted peanuts or 24 bags of trail mix or honey-roasted peanuts.
