Young named NL Comeback Player of the Year

MAGICAL SEASON- Washington Nationals first baseman Dmitri Young, a Rio Mesa High graduate, was recently named the National League's Comeback Player of the Year. During his first season in Washington, Young batted .320 with 13 home runs and 74 RBI. His batting average was a career high. Young was an All-Star this year after fighting through personal, legal and health problems during the 2006 MLB campaign.
