Recipients include CSUCI student

The Camarillo Branch of the American Association of University Women has awarded scholarships to three Ventura County women who have returned to study at a university after a significant break to continue their education toward their first bachelor's degrees necessary for specific career goals.

The awards were presented by Lisa Barreto, a former Re-entry Scholarship awardee, at the branch's first general meeting of the 2007-08 year.

Jennifer Stuart was on the dean's list at Ventura College where she received an associate degree in May and is now a junior at CSU Channel Islands majoring in nursing and psychology.

Debra Mercado completed the general education studies at Moorpark College and is continuing as a junior at Cal State Northridge majoring in deaf studies.

Christine Kitchenmaster, an honors graduate from Moorpark College, is a senior majoring in recreation management at CSUN.
