Festival kicks off harvest season

The Ventura Harvest Festivalwillta kepla ceFri. through Sun., Oct. 5 through 7 at Seaside Park, 10 W. Harbor Blvd., Ventura.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The festival includes an arts and crafts show, entertainment on an outdoor stage, puppet shows and a "kid zone."

Bands performing include HyJinx, W.C. Willy, Tom Rigney and Flambeau.

Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors 62 and over, $4 for youth ages 13 to 17 and free for children 12 and under. Tickets are valid for re-entry all weekend.
