Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra concert will feature music by Bach, Mendelssohn

The Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra will present the first concert of its fifth season.

"An October Festival," will be performed at 4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 14 at the First United Methodist Church, 1338 E. Santa Clara St., Ventura.

The orchestra, under the direction of KuanFen Liu, will perform Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 (overture), BWV 1068, D major; Dvorak's Serenade, Op. 44, D minor; and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, "Italian," A major.

Admission is free; however, a donation of $15 is suggested.
