Jamison named new fire marshal Christina Jamison has been named the county's new fire marshal. She took over the position Sept. 9, replacing Diane Morgan, who is retiring. Jamison has been a fire prevention officer for the Ventura County Fire Department for more than 12 years. She is an active member of the Southern California Fire Prevention Officers and was recently appointed to the State Building Standards Commission by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Fire Marshal Diane Morgan is retiring from the department after 21 years of service. She began as a reserve firefighter and dispatcher. Morgan became the department's first female fire prevention officer in 1986. She was named the county's first female fire marshal in 1998. |
