Old California Days will fire up BBQ to benefit music festival

The Ventura Music Festival will host its Old California Days Barbecue and Musicale at 2 p.m. Sun., Oct. 14 at the Old Creek Ranch Winery, 10244 Old Creek Road in Oak View.

The winery will provide wine for tasting. Lunch from the chuck wagon will feature tri-tip and chicken, beverages and desserts. Music will be provided by The Phil Salazar Band.

The barbecue will benefit the upcoming 2008 season of the Ventura Music Festival, scheduled for May 1 through 10, 2008: "Appassionata: the Age of Romance."

The festival will feature music from the Romantic Era between 1825 and 1900.
