Man accused of assaulting two college students

A Somis man is scheduled to be arraigned today on two counts of sexual battery.

Police arrested Febrio Lukita, 27, on Sept. 18 on suspicion of assaulting two young college women after luring them off campus with the promise of a photo shoot.

According to police, Lukita sexually assaulted a 17-year-old Moorpark College student on Sept. 14 and, using the same approach, a student from California State University Channel Islands three days later.

Public Defender Marty Wolter would only say she is reviewing information about the case from the district attorney's office.

Raeem Minoui, senior deputy district attorney, also would not disclose any information about the case except to encourage potential witnesses to report any information they have to Detective Tony Aguirre of the Moorpark police at (805) 3718309 or call their local law enforcement agency.
