Historical Society's harvest fest

The Pleasant Valley Historical Society will host its fourth annual Harvest Festival from 4 to 8 p.m. Sat., Oct. 20 in the Thiessen Family Barn at 4588 Donlon Road in Somis.

The celebration will include barbecued beef and chicken and a choice of side dishes and drinks.

The Boney Mountain Mamas perform country and western music. The proceeds of the silent auction will go toward the society museum and botanical garden maintenance and expansion.

Cost is $45 plus a no-host bar.
