CSUCI-sponsored team taking part in bike tour for MS

The Martin V. Smith School of Business and Economics at California State University Channel Islands is sponsoring a bicycle team for the 2007 Start to Finish MS Bike Tour. The event raises funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The tour, held Sat. and Sun., Oct. 20 and 21, is a 150-mile ride from Camarillo through the Ojai Valley to Santa Barbara and back.

More riders are welcome to join the school-sponsored team CSUCI Dolphins. The first 25 participants will receive a limited edition CSUCI cycling jersey. Each team member must raise $350. Funds raised support research and provide programs and services to individuals with multiple sclerosis and their families.

There are also volunteer opportunities that are not cycling related. The Dolphin team needs volunteers to help with rest stops along the ride and administrative work related to the fundraising.

For more information about the bike tour, visit bikecal.nationalmssociety.org/.

To learn more about the schoolsponsored team or volunteer opportunities, call Andrew Morris, associate professor of business and economics, at (805) 437-2771 or e-mail Andrew.morris@csuci.edu.
