Man arrested for theft, breaking and entering When family members were startled by a banging noise downstairs early in the morning of Sept. 16, the wife and 4-year-old child ran outside while the husband attempted to catch an intruder, who ran out through a sliding glass door. Deputies searched the area at about 4:50 a.m. but were unable to find the suspect, according to a police report. About 90 minutes later, a patrol deputy saw a person walking in the area who matched the suspect's description. The deputy stopped the man, identified as Octavio Garcia, and questioned him. The investigation led to Garcia's arrest on a charge of unlawfully entering the victims' home. During the investigation, the deputies found that Garcia was reportedly in possession of property which had been stolen from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Lantana Street, Camarillo. The suspect was transported to the main jail and booked for the two offenses. |
