On Sept. 1, police arrested a 43year-old man who was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance when he crashed his vehicle into a house in the 7000 block of Quito Court. The man and his two children, who were in the vehicle with him at the time of crash, were injured. Police later found the man at St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Police on Sept. 11 arrested an 18year-old man for alleged drunk driving at Adolfo and Flynn roads.
Also on Sept. 11, police arrested a 37-year-old man on a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance and, in an unrelated case, an 18-year- old man for alleged violation of probation.
Sometime between Sept. 6 and 10, thieves stole merchandise worth more than $400 from an optometry business in 2300 block of Ventura Boulevard.
One or more vandals caused $50 in damage to a residential mailbox in the 1400 block of Sierra Madre sometime between Sept 11 and 12.
Someone broke into a vehicle in the 900 block of Paseo Camarillo and took several items worth an undisclosed amount Sept. 3 or 4.
Police arrested on Sept. 7 a 21year-old man in the 300 block of Arneill Rd., a 19-year-old woman in the 300 block of Carmen Drive and a 33-year-old man in the 200 block of Glenn Drive for allegedly selling alcohol to a minor.
A burglar entered a home in the 1100 block of Durkin Street on Sept. 4 and took an undisclosed amount of property.
Someone forced their way into a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Wolverton Avenue and stole an undisclosed amount of property on Sept. 13.
Between Sept. 12 and Sept.13, burglars entered a home in the 5400 block of North Street and took property valued at less than $400.
Someone stole an undisclosed amount of property from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 4200 block of Hueneme Road on Sept. 13.
On Sept. 15, police arrested a 20year-old man at Pickwick Drive and Mobil Avenue on charges of drunk driving, driving without a license and possession of marijuana for sale.
Police arrested a 27-year-old woman in the 900 block of Sharon Drive for allegedly abusing her spouse and 11-year-old daughter.
Someone stole property from a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Marsala Way sometime between Sept. 11 and 12.
On Sept. 14, burglars forced open a door and took property from a business in the 3700 block of Dufau Road.
Thieves took two vehicles loaded with landscaping equipment from the 2400 block of Woodcreek Road on Sept. 14.
Between Sept. 13 and 14, someone used a woman's credit card information to obtain cash through an online wire transfer service.
Thieves stole tools valued at $300 from an unlocked truck parked in front of a residence in the 3200 block of Stiles Avenue on Sept. 14 or 15.
A person forced their way into a residence in the 600 block of Rosewood Avenue on Sept. 16 but fled when they were confronted by a resident.
A suspect caused more than $400 in damage to a residence in the 100 block of Ripley Street on Sept. 16. Although the suspect used a knife in a threatening manner to the victim, no injuries were reported.
On Sept. 16, someone broke the window of a truck parked along Wickford Place and stole a GPS system worth $325.
Between Sept. 15 and 16, vandals caused $500 in damage to the electric mirrors of a vehicle parked in the 2500 block of Truman Street.
Thieves stole a stereo from a parked vehicle in the 500 block of Lantana Street on Sept. 15 or 16.
On Sept. 17, burglars forced open the rear door of a business in the 300 block of Ventura Boulevard and took a safe that had been bolted to the ground.
Vandals caused less than $400 in damage writing gang graffiti on one or more computer keyboards at Gateway School on Sept. 17.
On Sept. 16, a robber held a 27year-old woman against her will at a grocery store in the 2400 block of Las Posas, while advising an accomplice to steal her property.
Police reported that between Sept. 11 and 17, they arrested 13 people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspected license. During that same period, police arrested three people on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, eight people on various drug charges and one person for allegedly having a fake driver's license.
