Japanese culture day

Ventura County Japanese American Citizens League will host its 17th annual Culture Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 14 at the Camarillo Community Center, 1605 E. Burnley St., Camarillo.

There will be demonstrations of Japanese karate, a tea ceremony, classical dance and taiko drumming and displays of bonsai plants, flower arrangements and Japanese calligraphy. Crafts to make, food and vendor items will be available.

Requested donations are $7 for adults; $5 for children, students and seniors age 62 and older; and $15 for a family no more than two adults and two children.
