Run with the Lions

The CamarilloSomis Pleasant Valley Lions Club will hold the eighth annual 5K Lion Run and 1K Cub Run Sun., Sept. 23 at the Camarillo Ranch, 201 Camarillo Ranch Road.

The event is for runners and walkers. Proceeds will benefit local Lions charities.

Registration on the day of the event begins at 7 a.m. Registration cost is $20.

The 5K will begin at 8 a.m., with the Cub Run to follow at 8:45 a.m. The event features a flat, fast 5K course certified by the U.S. Track and Field Association.

The Cub Run is for children up to 12 years of age. Parents are invited to run or walk with their children.

Everyone participating in the events will receive a T-shirt and a goody bag. All children participating in the Cub Run will also receive a commemorative medal.
