Brother, nephew of former champ Garcia on boxing card

Miguel Angel Garcia will headline a fight card to be presented by Cabral Enterprises beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 20 at the Sagebrush Cantina, 23527 Calabasas Road in Calabasas.

Garcia is the younger brother of former world champ Roberto Garcia. He is an undefeated prospect out of the La Colonia/PAL Boxing Club in Oxnard. The club has produced two world champions (Robert Garcia and Fernando Vargas) and two Olympians (Fernando Vargas and Carlos Martinez).

Also, Javier "Pelos" Garcia, nephew of Roberto Garcia, will make his Ventura County debut. From other Oxnard boxing gyms will be Kristian Magallon and Obed Pamatz, and Lester Gonzales from San Diego will appear.
