Hospice receives $9,000 grant
Nonprofit provides bereavement program

Camarillo Hospice received a grant of $9,000 from the Swift Memorial Health Care Foundation on July 12 at a reception at the Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club. The grant specifically targets increasing service hours provided by counseling interns.

The Patient and Family Support Services of Camarillo Hospice offer a variety of services, such as friendly visiting, respite care, counseling, an occasional meal prepared by the Camarillo Hospice Supper Club, liaison with healthcare professionals, family history recordings, healing music, pet therapy visits, information and referral.

The Bereavement Program provides individual and group counseling as well as ongoing support groups, peer support and crisis intervention to people adjusting to personal loss and unresolved grief. All services are provided free of charge to residents of Ventura County.
