Children's author writing stories about U. S. soldiers

Calabasas resident Leslie Godwin is writing a series of middle-grade children's books intended to introduce children and their parents to the work of military servicemen and women.

She would like to interview soldiers and recent veterans. "I invite them to get in touch with me as soon as possible, preferably before Sept. 30," said Godwin. "They will have a chance to approve their story before publication."
