Meadowlarks raise $163,000 in tasteful way

Taste of Camarillo 2007 raised more than $163,000 to support Ventura County nonprofit organizations. More than 2,000 attendees partook of fine wines poured by more than 100 wineries and culinary specialties provided by 50 Ventura County restaurants and caterers.

The Live Wine Auction Gala was also a success. The profit from the auction was more than double the 2006 auction.

David Szajowitz of Troop Realty, Camarillo, won the $1,000 cash raffle drawing.

Meadowlark Service League is a nonprofit organization of women based in Camarillo that raises funds for local charitable organizations and community benefit programs.

Plans are underway for the July 2008 A Taste of Camarillo.
