YMCA to host kids' triathlon

The inaugural Character Counts Kids' Triathlon will take place at approximately 10 a.m. Sun., Sept. 9 following the adult sprint triathlon at the Camarillo Family YMCA, 3111 Village at the Park Drive, Camarillo.

Children between the ages of 7 and 10 may participate.

The pool swim is 75 yards, the bike ride is 3.1 miles, and the run is 800 yards. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children.

All participants will receive a finisher's medal. The cost is $20.
