SolarWorld up in second quarter

In the second quarter of 2007, the GermanAmerican solar technology company SolarWorld Group increased sales and earnings in the double digit range.

Group sales rose to $247 (previous year: $138.5) million in the second quarter and to $428.6 (previous year: $252.3) million in the first half of the year.

The company operates production facilities in Germany, Sweden and the United States, with a manufacturing plant in Camarillo.
