Gala event a night under the stars

PICNIC- David and Holly Ensminger of Ventura, and Stan and Celia Reich of Camarillo, took part in the Camarillo Art and Jazz Festival's gala dinner at Cal State Channel Islands University during last year's event.

Studio Channel Islands will present its Gala Evening Under the Stars Sat., Aug. 11 at the studio galleries on the campus of Cal State Channel Islands.

The evening will feature a concert by saxophonist Eric Marienthal, a raffle for $5 per ticket and a live auction.

Included among the auction items are: one-hour behind the scenes of the TV show "Grey's Anatomy," a golf package including a lesson with PGA pro Bruce Hamilton, front row seats at the Rubicon Theatre in Ventura and a week in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

The gala is part of the Camarillo Art and Jazz Festival.

One-day general admission is $37.50. Gala tickets, which include dinner, are $150. A threeday VIP ticket is $225.
