Pat Prescott to host fest

For the second year, Pat Prescott, radio personality on KTWV FM The Wave, will host two jazz concerts at the 2007 Camarillo Art and Jazz Festival, Fri. through Sun., Aug. 10 to 12.

Prescott, who is heard weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on "Smooth Jazz" 94.7 in Los Angeles, will introduce saxophonist Eric Marienthal and his band at the Gala Evening Under the Stars dinner and concert, at 8:15 p.m. Sat., Aug. 11 at the Studio Channel Islands Art Center at Cal State Channel Islands.

At 2 p.m. Sun., Aug. 12, Prescott will host Art and Jazz at the Ranch at the Camarillo Ranch House, 201 Camarillo Ranch Road. She will introduce vocalist Christine Day and a surprise guest. An art walk and lunch precedes Day's concert.

Proceeds from the weekend concerts support Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, Camarillo Arts Council, Studio Channel Islands Art Center, the Pat Richards Art Scholarship for a CSUCI student and the Maggie Kildee Fund for the Pleasant Valley Education Foundation.
