Thank you, cleaning crew

One of the least-known but most important events at the Camarillo Fiesta and Street Fair each year is the after-Fiesta clean-up, an event that doesn't begin until most people- vendors included- are long gone, and which continues into the late hours of the night.

Part of our contract with the city requires that we leave the site as clean, or cleaner, than we found it. A few members of our committee- Kyle Nunn, Mark Ripplinger and Armando Lozano, to be specific- with strong assistance from Camarillo City Councilman Kevin Kildee, who has been helping us for several years, perform yeoman work during this time, mostly removing the tons of trash left in the wake of Fiesta.

But without the street sweeper providing gratis by Diamond Sweeping owner Robert Rydell, and operated by driver Richard, we could never meet our goal of leaving Ventura Boulevard cleaner than we found it.

Our hats are off to all of these fine people. Mike Morgan & Todd Terres Co-Chairs, Camarillo Fiesta and Street
