Bipolar, depression support group to meet

The local chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance will host confidential, peerled, selfhelp support group meetings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month beginning Aug. 14 at the Ventura County Church of Religious Science at 101 S. Laurel St. in Ventura.

The support groups are open to anyone who has been diagnosed with a mood disorder, has a family member or friend who is diagnosed or who thinks they might have depression or bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression). The groups are not run by professionals but instead offer peer-to-peer support.
