YMCA invites kids to give event a 'tri'

The Camarillo Family YMCA, in preparation for the inaugural Character Counts Kids' Triathlon, will hold a "dry run kids' tri" for children ages 7 to 10 at 10 a.m. Sat., Aug. 11.

The triathlon consists of a 1kilometer run, a 5-kilometer bike ride and a 75-yard pool swim. Volunteers onsite will participate with the children, and parents are encouraged to join in.

Each participant will receive a complimentary certificate to the Character Counts Kids' Triathlon, Sun., Sept. 9, and a complimentary 3-day family guest pass to the Camarillo Family YMCA.
