Sheriff's Blotter Camarillo A thief stole a purse from an unlocked car parked in the driveway of a home in the 500 block of Via Marquesa sometime between July 7 and 8. A thief broke into a recreation vehicle parked in the storage parking lot of the Ladera neighborhood homeowners association and stole an undisclosed amount of property sometime between July 7 and 12. A car parked in the 5100 block of Mesquite Street was burglarized sometime between June 8 and 9. A car parked in the 600 block of Lantana Street was burglarized sometime between June 9 and 10. An undisclosed amount of property was stolen. Three people were caught July 9 allegedly trying to steal merchandise from the Nautica Outlet Store, 740 E. Ventura Blvd. Someone was arrested July 9 for allegedly trying to steal merchandise from the Kmart store, 940 Arneill Road. Someone took the keys from an unlocked car parked in the 500 block of Commons Park Drive to unlock another car and steal an undisclosed amount of property sometime between July 9 and 10. Vandals caused more than $400 in damages to Las Colinas Middle School, 5750 Fieldcrest Drive, sometime between July 9 and 10. A 24-year-old was arrested for allegedly urinating in public beneath the Dawson Drive bridge on July 10. A car parked in the 900 block of N. Rowland Avenue was burglarized July 10. According to police, a 44-year-old man who lives in the 4700 block of Colony Drive admitted to growing seven marijuana plants in his backyard. Police arrested him July 11 on felony drug charges. A 24-year-old man was arrested July 11 near the intersection of Santa Rosa and Adolfo roads on battery charges. A 21-year-old woman was arrested July 12 in the 2300 block of Antonio Avenue on an outstanding warrant stemming from embezzlement allegations. A 37-year-old man was arrested July 12 on assault charges for allegedly assaulting another man at the Target store, 209 W. Ventura Blvd. Someone tried to break into a truck parked in the 3200 block of Corte Malpaso on July 13. Between July 10 and July 12, police reported arresting eight people for driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that time period, four others were arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and one person was arrested on various drug charges. |
