Women's golf club gives to charity

The Sterling Hills Women's Golf Association in Camarillo presented a check for $3,000 to the Villa Esperanza Services of Thousand Oaks and Pasadena last month.

The Camarillo golf club raised money for the charity with its second annual invitational golf tournament at Sterling Hills Golf Course in May.

Villa Esperanza is a local charity that assists youth and adults suffering from Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other disabling conditions. The charity also manages a group home in Thousand Oaks.
